From Customer Inquiry to Final Solution
When we first received the inquiry from our customer in Haiti, the customer mainly wanted to know the price and brightness of the solar street light. This is a very common situation. Many customers who are buying solar lights for the first time will ask us the same questions: How many watts is the lamp? How bright can it be? How much area can it cover?
Actually, from my experience, choosing a solar street light for a project is not only about the wattage. A higher power lamp does not always mean a better solution. For a real project, we need to understand more details, such as the installation height, lighting area, working hours every night, local weather condition and customer’s actual requirements.
If the battery capacity, solar panel size or lighting distribution is not matched correctly, the product may have problems after installation.
So when we receive a project inquiry, our first step is not to recommend the most expensive or highest power product. We first try to understand what problem the customer really wants to solve.
Understanding the Customer’s Real Challenge
After several rounds of communication with the customer, we learned that this project was not simply about making the tennis court brighter.
The customer wanted players to continue their activities after sunset. However, using traditional electric lighting was not an easy choice. It required cable installation, electrical construction and a stable power supply. For an outdoor sports facility, these extra works would increase the project cost and also make installation more complicated.
Another important point we considered was the local electricity condition. In some areas of Haiti, power supply is not always stable. The customer needed a lighting system that could work independently and provide reliable lighting every night.
Besides the lighting effect, we also paid attention to the future maintenance cost. Because the lights would be installed on 8-meter poles, if the product quality was not good and a replacement was needed in the future, the customer would need workers to repair it. Sometimes they may also need to rent lifting equipment. These additional costs are not small.
From our experience, a good solar lighting project is not only about selling a lamp. It is about reducing problems for customers after installation.

How We Selected the Right Solar Lighting Solution
After understanding the project requirements, we recommended our NZ-150W solar street light to the customer.
The reason was simple. This model matched the customer’s application very well. The lights needed to be installed on 8-meter poles, and the tennis club required enough brightness for evening activities. Many customers think the brightness is the only important thing. But for solar street lights, the whole system needs to work together. The NZ-150W provides 24,000 lumens output, which can meet the lighting requirements for outdoor applications. It uses SMD5050 LED technology to provide high efficiency lighting performance.
But we also focused on the solar charging and energy storage system. Because the lamp works every night, the battery and solar panel are very important parts.
This model uses a double-sided MONO solar panel and LiFePO4 battery, together with MPPT solar controller technology, to improve charging efficiency and maintain stable operation. From our years of experience, a good solar street light should not only work well on the first night after installation. More importantly, it should continue working after months and years.
Installation Experience and Project Result
After confirming the solution, the customer installed the NZ-150W solar street lights around the tennis court. The lights were installed on 8-meter poles according to the customer’s site requirements.
Because it is an all-in-one solar street light, the installation process was much easier compared with traditional lighting systems. There was no need for underground cables or complicated electrical construction. This helped the customer save installation time and reduce additional project costs.
When we received the installation photos from the customer, we were very happy to see the final result. The tennis court had a much better lighting environment, and players could continue their activities at night. The customer also shared positive feedback with us. They were satisfied with the brightness, installation process and overall performance of the system.
For us, this project was not only about supplying solar street lights. The more important thing was that we helped the customer choose a suitable solution according to their real application.

What We Learned From This Project
During our daily communication with customers around the world, we meet many different project requirements. Every country, every location and every application has different challenges.
Some customers only focus on price at the beginning. We understand this because everyone wants to control their budget. But for engineering projects, choosing the cheapest product is not always the best choice. The right product configuration can help customers avoid many problems in the future.
For this Haiti tennis club project, we did not simply provide a 150W solar street light. We provided a complete solution based on installation height, lighting requirements, local conditions and long-term usage.
